K-Kids: Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Through Service
What is K-Kids?
K-Kids is a service club designed specifically for elementary school students (grades 4-6) to provide them with opportunities to engage in meaningful community service and develop essential leadership skills. Sponsored by Kiwanis, K-Kids offers young people a chance to learn the value of helping others and making a positive impact in their local community.
Core Values of K-Kids:
Leadership: K-Kids helps students learn to be leaders by organizing and participating in service projects and working together as a team.
Service: The heart of K-Kids is community service. Members engage in various service activities such as cleaning up parks, helping at local food banks, and supporting school events.
Caring: K-Kids fosters a caring attitude by encouraging students to think of others, show kindness, and understand the importance of helping people in need.
Respect: K-Kids members learn how to work together with respect and cooperation, building a sense of community within their school and beyond.
K-Kids Activities:
Community Service Projects: K-Kids members take part in a wide range of local service activities. These can include organizing food drives, participating in environmental clean-ups, helping at animal shelters, and more.
Fun and Engaging Events: K-Kids organizes activities like art projects for hospitals, school fundraisers, and holiday gift drives that are fun and educational for the students.
Developing Good Citizenship: Through their activities, K-Kids members develop a strong sense of citizenship and are empowered to make a difference in their community.
